Elon Musk Confirms: Tesla Supercharger Diners Coming to More Cities

Updated on: 10:50 am

The first Tesla Supercharger Diner is finally opening today in Los Angeles. But Elon Musk just gave an even bigger update this won’t be the only one.

Tesla plans to build these retro-futuristic diners in more major cities around the world, and at Supercharger stops along long-distance travel routes. Musk confirmed it directly when asked.

The diner looks like a 1950s drive-in mixed with modern Tesla tech. It’s not just a place to eat. It’s an experience.

You can order food from your car. You can watch a movie on big outdoor screens that sync with your Tesla’s center display. It’s fun, fast, and very on-brand.

You don’t even need a Tesla to eat there. Anyone can pull in for a burger, fries, or shake. But only Tesla owners get the full experience like the in-car ordering and synced entertainment.

Now, does a burger diner really help Tesla sell more cars? Maybe. Some people say they’re drawn to the whole lifestyle, not just the vehicle. A great Supercharger stop can be part of that.

Investors shouldn’t expect these diners to bring in huge profits directly. The goal isn’t food revenue. The goal is brand power, convenience, and fun. That can still move the needle.

So what’s next?

Musk already mentioned Starbase, Texas, as another future site. Austin also makes sense. Other big cities like New York, Miami, Boston, and DC could follow.

The Tesla diner started as a quirky idea seven years ago. Today, it’s real, and soon, it could be coming to a city near you.
